Solomon Cross Country Make-Up At Washington County

On Monday, September 28th the Solomon High School Cross Country team traveled to Washington County. The meet was a make-up from a previously postponed meet.

On the middle school side Kiera Smith ran a 13:40, which was good for 1st place. Kaytlyne Hamm ran a 24:13.9 and placed 10th. Logan Hammersmith ran a 13:08.6, and placed 6th. Justus Nordgren ran a 15:00.2 and placed 15th. Matthew Hamm ran a 16.06 and placed 17th. Bradyn Hynes ran a 18:14.8, placed 19th, and got a PR. Issac Hammersmith ran a 22.23.2 and placed 20th. On the high school side Alex Baize ran a 22:49.90, placed 31st and got a PR. Tyler McLaughlin ran a 27:07.21 and placed 59th. When we asked Coach Nordgren how he felt the team did he said “ They all did great and some had PR’s.”

The next meet for the Cross Country team will be Thursday, October 1st at Council Grove.
