COLUMBUS – Mother Nature definitely was a factor in Thursday’s Columbus Girls Golf Invitational. The weather conditions were described as “turned [out] pretty cool with some rain in the air.”

It wasn’t enough to keep the St. Mary’s Colgan Lady Panthers golf team from edging out fellow CNC member Frontenac for the 1st place team medal Thursday by a score of 207 to 210. Host Columbus placed 3rd with a combined score of 235.

Frontenac’s Autumn Bryant and Brenn Beykirch tied for the individual 1st place medal with a score of 46 each. Columbus’s Destiny Lima took 3rd with a 50 score on the day.
