Lebo played with a short field most of the night against Chetopa on Friday night. The Wolves were victorious on the night 76-6, but only had 136 yards of total offense.

The Lebo offense did not have their first offensive possession until the first quarter was nearly half over but already had a commanding 22-0 lead. Luke Davies took the opening kickoff back for 65 yards, and Devan McEwan added two punt return touchdowns, from 66 yards and 43 yards.

The Wolves struck again when McEwen found Jerome Ferguson for a 14-yard touchdown. McEwan would connect with Davies for another passing score in the opening quarter.

A three-yard touchdown run from Andrew Bailey, had the Wolves with a 44-0 lead to start the second quarter.

Kadon Schroeder was on the receiving end of a McEwan pass to start off the quarter from 16 yards out. The Lebo defense must have been jealous of the scoring output of the offense and special teams, and they ended the game on a vengeance.

Chetopa’s passing attack would be intercepted three times in the second quarter, and each one was taking back for a pick-6. Jonas Konrade, Davies, and McEwan were the Wolves scoring defensive touchdowns.

The Hornets would find the scoreboard with 3:48 left to go in the half. Chetopa finished the night with 93 yards of total offense.

Lebo, 3-0, is off to their best start since 2011 and will play Valley Falls next week to being district play. The Wolves were victorious a year ago 62-12.

Chetopa will travel to face Altoona-Midway on Friday in hopes of their first victory on the season. The Hornets were defeated by the Jets last year 38-14.
